I really like Deli-lites. They have a shop in my hometown of Dundalk which does great business and two other branches in Newry and Warrenpoint. The Belfast branch is probably the biggest one and offers great choice for anyone looking for a good value lunch in the city.

What I like about them is the sandwiches are uber fresh. Crusty granary bread, some of their chicken, coleslaw and cheese makes for a great sandwich.

They also offer a great range of wraps, panninis and deserts and pastries.

The waist watcher wrap is actually quite a tasty option if you're watching the calories.

The buns, tarts, cakes and cookies are also delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Deli-lites do great simple sandwiches which would put you off the pre-packaged variety for life.

I admit to being a bit dubious on trying Deli-Lites, as my only previous experience of them is the cardboard packets they sell in garages, and I hate garage sandwiches, but that is not what you get here, thank goodness.

Sprawling a corner of Lombard Street it is clean and bright, and the selection is really big, as I found myself a little overwhelmed by the choice. Luckily the staff must get this a lot as the girl who served me was very happy to guide me through it, finally settling on a piri piri chicken on ciabatta. The sandwich was well filled and tasty, with a few crisps on the side, and large enough to keep me going all afternoon.

Let's face it, it is hard to go wrong with a sandwich (though some people do) but if you are in the area it's really not a bad choice at all, even catering for those with allergies or trying to loose a few pounds. By the looks of the cakes though which I managed to resist this time, you can still get a good treat if you are feeling naughty.

Good selection of food   never have spicy chicken though.  Not a very good Cajun wrap without spicy chicken.

Got lunch in here a few days previously and the sandwich were so good that I had to make another visit. Hood quality food and drinks. Nice service with no waiting about. Looking forward to my next visit.

Not a bad deli by any stretch of the imagination. The range of food is fine if not extensive and there is a section on the board for more healthy varieties which seems like a good idea, I'm not sure why more places don't peruse a health focused range since at any one point in time a large portion of the population will probably claim to be on a diet!
The food is good quality but the hugely thick bread slices that made up my order were not as filled as they could have been, leading to a bread heavy sarnie a little light on the bits that have all the flavour. It was same for the toastie my daughter got. With a toastie and this kind of bread it meant the bread sucked the moisture out of your mouth and left the toastie a bit dry and brittle. Finally it was a bit pricey. For a sarnie, a wrap and a small child's toastie and a coffee it came to over £16.
Over all the impression was mixed. High quality produce served up in a slightly less than ideal way by pleasant enough staff that could maybe smile just a little more.
